What do you do if you happen to find a wild bird, which is hurt while you are talking a walk in the woods? How do you react? Can you lure it with food? What is the best way to catch it? Whom can you ask for help?
Mr. Sindhu, the leader of the bird of prey protection centre “Bergische Greifvogelhilfe” and his helpers gave answers to all those and many more questions on 01/05/2017. At the rescue centre for owls and birds of prey, which is located at Rösrath in Germany, the team takes care of the medical treatment and nursing of these animals with great passion. Their ultimate goal is to release those animals to their natural habitat. The best thing about it? They are all working as volunteers!
What the team has achieved and built up so far is more than astonishing: Directly near the edge of the woods, there are countless aviaries designed with loving care, where the birds can rest and heal their wounds as species-appropriate as possible.
In search of suitable equipment in order to inform others about their noble cause, the team was not only convinced of our original RUKU folding tables and benches but also of our 3×3 m atento folding tent. With an octagonal structure of series 43, the pavilion is perfect for outdoor use.
When it came to the choice of colour, they needed intensive expert advice – because the tent colour should not only blend in with the environment but it was also of utmost significance that the colour would not scare the birds.
The result: Mr. Sindhu is enthusiastic – his green pavilion faces wind and weather and can easily establish itself compared to the tents, which he had used before:
„[…] dthe pavilion has […] served us well. Compared to my two other pavilions, this one even resisted the rain. […]“ D. Sindhu
We are happy that we were able to support his great project and hope, that the “Bergische Greifvogelhilfe” will save many other animals.
