We go green
Plastic bags disappear slowly, in some supermarkets you can buy with minimum packaging, e-mails will gradually replace letter post and electric cars are gaining ground… Everywhere around us, there are countless chances to take better care of our environment and to improve it.
We strive to contribute to support our environment in an active way. That is exactly why we decided to use only electricity from sources, which are 100 % renewable. This means: No more detrimental CO2 emissions – now the maxim is “eco active”!
Energy transition – how does it work?
With this step, we contribute wilfully to the energy transition. However, how exactly does this work? It is simple: Just imagine that our grid is a big lake whose tributaries are different electricity providers. You – as end consumer – use the electricity of this “lake”. The more companies and individuals choose renewable energies, the more “clean” energy will be fed into the power grid. Metaphorically speaking: The amount of “clean” lake tributaries increases.
Amongst the regenerative energies are wind and solar power as well as many other energy sources, which, from the point of view of a human lifespan, are nearly inexhaustible or which can be renewed shortly. In our case, we place our bets on waterpower. Water is dammed on a higher terrain and then released in a controlled manner. The effluent water runs turbines whose movements are transformed into electric power.
We are happy to receive the official certification as consumer of renewable energy and hope that we can do something good for the environment.
